Payments, Shipping, & Refunds

Payments

We accept the following forms of payment:
1. Credit Card through our website’s secure checkout
2. Credit Card through our phone at
3. Check or money order. After an online order is placed, we will hold your items for 7 days. If payment is not received within 7 days, we will release your order back into our inventory. All payments made with check will be held ten days from receipt of payment.
4. COD is available with prior approval before order is placed.

Shipping

1. Most orders shipped through Value Shipping go Priority Mail, which provides delivery confirmation, but not very detailed tracking. If you want detailed tracking information, you must select FedEx or UPS options during checkout. All “Value Shipping” orders to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped USPS Priority mail.
2. Standard delivery time is 2-10 business days from the date your order was placed. 98% of our orders of in stock items are shipped same or next business day. If you would like your order sent overnight or with a delivery date guaranteed, we offer FedEx Express & UPS express shipping can be selected in the checkout process.
3. All shipping rates are quoted FOB if you would like to add insurance, you must select it during checkout.

ALL FIREARMS MUST BE SHIPPED TO FEDERAL LICENSED FIREARMS DEALERS! NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Due to our current order load, there is a 2 business day delay on shipping until further notice. Please do not call to check on your order the same day it is made, it will only slows down shipping. We email tracking numbers on all orders when they are shipped.

GPG will not ship ANY items to the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.). 
GPG will not ship ANY items to the state of Massachusetts.

GPG will not ship ANY AR or AK Parts or Firearms (Including Receivers) to the City of Chicago, Illinois.  

GPG will not ship ANY AR or AK Firearms (Including Receivers) to Aurora, Highland Park, or Cook County, Illinois.  

GPG will not ship any handguns to CA that are not on the DOJ roster. This includes Single Shot Exemption conversions.  

Stripped lower receivers will NOT be shipped to the following states:  
– Connecticut  

Complete AR and AK receivers will NOT be shipped to the following states:  
– Connecticut  
– Maryland  
– New Jersey  
– New York  

Non-Compliant AR & AK models will NOT be shipped to the following states:  
– California 
– Connecticut  
– Maryland  
– New Jersey  
– New York  

Great Plains Guns Inc. DOES NOT ship high-capacity magazines (those greater than 10 rounds) with firearms to the states listed below. We WILL NOT replace high capacity magazines with state compliant magazines. We DO NOT offer refunds in place of the magazines. 

Exceptions:  

• L.E.Os must provide both their credentials and a letterhead signed by their department’s superior officer stating that the firearm will be used in the execution of the L.E.O’s duties. GPG only recognizes City Police Officers, County Sheriff Deputies, and State Police (including Highway Patrol) as L.E.Os.
• Not all of the states listed may have L.E.O exemptions. Please contact us BEFORE placing your order.
• Great Plains Guns Inc. does NOT ship directly to L.E.Os; the order must go to an FFL. Great Plains Guns Inc. does NOT make exceptions for this policy.

Return Policy:

Non-Firearm Purchases:

Refunds can be made on unused/unopened merchandise only. All refund requests must be made within ten calendar days from the date the order was delivered and must be received by us within fifteen days from the date of delivery. All refunds must be returned at the buyers expense and MUST INCLUDE a completed Return Merchandise Form with the returned item in order for Great Plains Guns Inc. to process the request, issue a refund, or replace the item. Original shipping charges are not refundable. All refunds are subjected to a 20% restocking fee.

We are not a warranty or repair provider for any manufacturer or distributor. All warranty and repair service/replacements must be obtained from the manufacturer of the item directly. If you have a problem with your item, we will provide you with contact information for the manufacturer.

Firearms:

All firearm sales are final.  Once a firearm is transferred to a customer’s name, Great Plains Guns Inc. will not accept a return or exchange under ANY circumstance.  
If a defect is discovered by the customer after shipment and transfer of ownership, the customer must contact the firearm manufacturer directly for replacement or repair.

Exchange Policy:

Non-Firearm Purchases: Exchanges can be made on unused/unopened merchandise only. All exchange requests must be made within ten calendar days from the date the order was delivered and must be returned to us within fifteen days from the date of delivery. Exchanges can be credited up to the full purchase price of the item less shipping on both the new order and original order.

Firearms:

All firearm sales are FINAL. Once a firearm is transferred to a customer’s name, Great Plains Guns Inc. will not accept a return or exchange under ANY circumstance.  
If a defect is discovered by the customer after shipment and transfer of ownership, the customer must contact the firearm manufacturer directly for replacement or repair.

Order Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel an order ONLY if you contact us prior to shipping. We ship 95% of all orders within 36 hours of being placed, so you must contact us immediately if you wish to cancel your order. You MUST provide the order # when contacting Customer Service via phone or email.  
If the item/package has shipped, the order may not be cancelled, and the customer must follow all rules applicable to returns.  
Please note that the return of the item/package will be made at the customer’s expense.

Order Abandonment Policy:

Orders placed with Great Plains Guns Inc. that have been paid and not picked up for a period of 1 year will be considered abandoned at the customers expense and will be restocked after all means to contact customer have failed, which include telephone and written communications. 

FBI NICS Denial Policy:

If you get a Denial on the NICS Back ground check it is a:
$20 fee for transfers
$20 restocking fee for in-stock merchandise
20% restocking fee for custom orders

Layaway – Easy Pay Policy:

GPG offers layaway for those customers who want and extended time to pay off their purchases.  GPG requires at least 10% purchase price upfront in a non-refundable deposit.  This holds the item until it is paid off.  Payments must be completed by 6 months after the initial deposit or the agreement is void.

Amending Order Policy:

No amendments to orders can take place once an order is placed and an invoice generated.

Ammunition Order Policy:

GPG will not ship ANY items to the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.). 
GPG will not ship ANY items to the state of Massachusetts. 

Great Plains Guns Inc. ABIDES by all state regulations regarding the sale of ammunition.  

– You agree and accept all policies described in our Terms of Use. 
– You are at least 21 years of age (for handgun ammunition) or 18 years of age (for rifle ammunition). 
– By purchasing ammunition, you are not violating any local, state, or federal laws. 
– You have not been convicted of any felony, a misdemeanor of domestic abuse, and you are not chemically dependent. 
– You have no legal restraint that would prohibit you from possessing, ordering, owning, or transferring ammunition. 
– You have never been committed to any mental institution, or been adjudicated as mentally defective. 
– You will not sell ammunition to any minor. 
– You cannot have ammunition shipped to a post office box. 
– You do not live in a state, city, or county that prohibits you from owning, purchasing, or transferring ammunition. 
– Customers who order ammunition in states prohibiting the order of ammunition will have their orders cancelled and a 5% restocking fee will be charged. 

We WILL NOT ship ammunition to the following areas: 
      This is not a comprehensive list but is meant as a guide.  
      It is in no way meant to include all laws and restrictions across the United States.  
      Please contact the authorities in your area for any possible restrictions.  
      If you do live in a restricted area, your order will be cancelled.  

– California: No Sales to the cities of Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, or Avalon.  
– Connecticut: No sales without a valid permit.  
– Alaska: No Sales. Ammunition must be shipped to a freight forwarder.  
– Hawaii: No Sales. Ammunition must be shipped to a freight forwarder.  
– Illinois: No Sales to the city of Chicago or Cook County. All other Illinois residents must email us a copy of their FOID card in addition to their State ID.  
    Ammunition must ship to an address on one of these ID’s.  
– Maryland: No Sales to the City of Annapolis and Montgomery County  
– New York: No Sales to New York City, or its five Burroughs. Starting January 1st, 2014 all ammunition must be sent to a FFL.  
– Washington DC: No Sales.  
– New Jersey: When ordering ammunition commonly used in a handgun/to be used in a handgun, email us a copy of your Firearms ID.  
    We must ship to the address on the FID.  
GPG will not ship ANY items to the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.).
